Altamira understands ores processing. We finance plants, and can arrange tolling for third party ores.
SHIPPING
Shipping can be a risky enterprise. Altamira combines
longstanding relationships with shipowners and brokers, and operational expertise, to ensure smooth sailing.
WAREHOUSING
Altamira stores and blends materials worldwide through a network of both internal and third party facilities.
MULTI-MODAL LOGISTICS
Truck, plane, rail, barge, vessel; Altamira combines all
possible modes of transportation in order to optimise
logistical costs and transit times.
ORES
Sometimes ores cannot be beneficiated on site. Altamira can arrange third party crushing, as well as marketing expertise, in order to find homes for Direct Shipment Ores.
QUALITY CONTROL
Altamira takes a meticulous approach to quality
control. Materials are surveyed, sampled, and assayed at several stages during any transaction, to ensure
representativeness of assays and to avoid potential theft/tampering issues.
HEDGING
Our hedge desk is dedicated to mitigating commodity price and foreign exchange exposure for both Altamira and its counterparties.
FINANCING
Altamira provides treasury and financing solutions to mines, traders and smelters. Altamira is a supplier of liquidity to the metals and minerals supply chain.
Altamira is involved in all aspects of raw materials logistics, from mine to smelter, which are mostly handled in-house. This involves:
- Transportation – trucking, rail, maritime; both containerised and bulk
- Warehousing – including blending operations
- Insurance – transportation, credit, etc.
- Hedging – LME, LBMA, etc.
Additionally, Altamira provides a range of bespoke finance solutions:
- Trade finance
- LME margin financing
- Project financing
- Diverse structured financing, combining one or more of the above.
